Word Easel

The simplicity of the act of writing–a pencil, a piece of paper–has appealed to my streamlined nature since I was a child.  Still, I envy my visual artist friends for the messes they get to make.  Paints smeared on the wall, clay on the floor, glue and sparkles in the hair.  A half-finished painting is a thing of beauty, but a half-finished story is just words.

This blog is dedicated to the half-finished writing.  It’s a place to hang up words that are not perfect yet, a place to play around with sentences, sounds, and ideas.  It’s an easel for words.
